Wacky Walk is a free browser physics game about the hardest simple thing there is: walking. Your character crosses each level on a pair of ridiculously long wooden stilts, and the two stilts move independently. Every step is a decision. Plant one pole, shift your weight, swing the other forward, and try not to let any of it tip over. It sounds trivial until you play it, and then it becomes the whole game. Walking works one stilt at a time. Hold and drag to place each pole where it needs to go, alternating left and right while keeping your weight between them. Small, accurate steps carry you further than big ambitious ones, because one bad angle is usually all it takes to end the run. The ground stays narrow and uneven, and the game quietly punishes anyone in a hurry. The courses give plain walking plenty of company. Gaps cut across the path, and a longer drag throws the walker into a longer jump, with only a stable landing keeping him upright on the far side. Past the early stretches the hazards turn strange: floating logs, windmills, submarines, piranhas, hornets and miniature volcanoes all want a turn at knocking your walker down. Later levels expect sharper timing and less wandering. Falling is part of the deal, and the game knows it. Checkpoints let you continue from the nearest one after a drop instead of replaying the whole level, which keeps the longer courses fair. The campaign runs through forests, farms and wilder stages, and beyond it sit challenge courses like Fear of Heights and Pillars of Doom, plus an Endless Mode for testing how long your balance holds. More than thirty characters wait to be unlocked, from a goat and a hotdog to a robot, along with hats, accessories and oddball stilts, including a pair made of pencils.
