sobosuba is a soft-body merge game by developer keepeetron. Numbered blobs are shot into a container, and every matching pair merges into the next size up, 2 into 4, 4 into 8, all the way to 2048. Where Suika-style games drop pieces from above, sobosuba lets you fire them in, and every blob is squishy, so the whole pile deforms and settles while you play. The browser demo here is free and loads right on this page. How hard you shoot matters. A hard shot shoves the pile around and squeezes new blobs into tight gaps. A soft shot lands almost in place, useful when the stack is settled and you do not want to disturb it. Soft bodies squeeze into gaps a rigid ball could never fill, and one good squeeze can set off a chain of merges. Merging keeps the container in check, since one bigger blob takes up less room than the two it replaced. The score climbs with every merge, and the demo goes up to 2048, which players have reached. Controls are mouse-only: move to aim, click to shoot, right-click to cancel a shot. The game is built for a desktop browser. On a touch screen your finger acts as the cursor and it runs, but the itch page warns it is not designed for mobile, and players have reported freezes. The demo is still in development, and the quit button is a known trouble spot. sobosuba on this page is the official free demo by keepeetron, loaded through itch.io; this site does not host the game files. The full game is paid on Steam for Windows and Linux. The developer's own site, the Steam page, and the itch.io page are its only official homes. sobosuba has nothing to do with football. No download, no account.
