Daily Red is a free browser battle game with one puzzle a day, Wordle style. Every player gets the same random team of six level 100 Pokémon, and you get one official shot at beating Red, the final trainer from the Game Boy era, waiting at the top of Mt. Silver. Battles run on the Pokémon Showdown simulator under Gen 3 rules, so abilities and held items work the way they did in the old games. The rhythm is simple. Take your official battle any time before midnight in your own time zone, and a new team arrives overnight. Win or lose, you get a spoiler-free result grid to share and a streak that only survives if you keep showing up. Practice battles are unlimited and never touch your streak, which makes them the place to test a lead or work out why your team keeps running into Snorlax. Red always brings the same six: Pikachu, Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, all at level 100, and he always opens with the Pikachu. Your counterplay comes from the team you are dealt. Read your types before you commit, lead with something that answers his opening, and save your switches for when a matchup turns ugly, because a free swap costs less than a fainted Pokémon. No two days play the same. One morning your lineup handles his team for free, the next you are improvising around a Water weakness with nothing but Grass moves and hope. That gap between a good draw and a bad one is the puzzle, and the share grid at the end is how you compare notes with everyone else who fought the same battle. Daily Red has nothing to do with football. It is a free fan-made project, not affiliated with Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company. You can play Daily Red on Head Football Games in any modern browser, on desktop or mobile. No download, no account.
