Blocky Runner

Description

Blocky Runner is a free browser endless runner set in a pixel-block sports arena. Your athlete runs forward automatically, and you switch lanes, jump over pits, and dodge walls and oncoming runners to keep the run alive. The pace starts relaxed but ramps up quickly, so the longer you survive, the faster the track throws traps at you. The controls are simple. Press A or the left arrow to move left, D or the right arrow to move right, and W, the up arrow, or Space to jump. On mobile, swipe or tap the sides of the screen to change lanes and tap the center to jump. You do not need to learn combos or unlock moves. You just need to read the track ahead and react. Coins line the path and can be spent to unlock ten different athlete characters, each with their own look and running style. Hearts give you an extra life when you hit an obstacle, and mushrooms shrink you for a few seconds so you can squeeze through narrow gaps. Both items are usually placed near danger, so grabbing them is a risk worth weighing. The track changes as your distance grows. Bottomless pits open without warning, wooden walls block lanes, and other runners sprint toward you from the front. The only score that matters is how far you get.
