Arena of Champions is a free PvP arena game from independent developer jerz, built around short WoW-style matches that run straight in a browser tab. It uses Warcraft 3 models, nine classes and three brackets: 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. Nothing to download and no launcher; the login screen hands out a guest name if you do not want an account. You pick a class and a specialization, queue for a bracket and fight on one of three arena maps. The client lists nine classes and 21 specializations, each with its own talents and spells, and patch v0.23 added Destruction Warlock to the roster. Success leans on the same things WoW arena players already know: interrupts, defensive buttons and line of sight. One warning before you build a character: a familiar ability name does not promise the same behavior as retail WoW; the game runs on its own rules. Guest mode needs no signup. The game gives you a name, a refresh signs the same guest back in, and bots are there for practice when you want to test a build without a queue. Registering an account is what unlocks rated queues, an arena rating and the leaderboard. Both sides can save progress, though the project's own advice is to use Save Progress in town before moving between the browser and the Windows client. A few practical notes. The controls are keyboard and mouse only, so phones are out; use a desktop or laptop. The first load can take up to a minute on a normal connection before the login screen appears. Keybinds are fully rebindable in Settings, and the official site offers a Windows client if you would rather not play in a tab. Arena of Champions is a fan-made project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment; Warcraft models and names belong to Blizzard.
